Amazing ‘Dirt is Good’ sculptures by JooHeng Tan

These stunning sand sculptures are being used to encourage youngsters to explore their surroundings and play in the dirt. Artist JooHeng Tan used a staggering 18-tonnes of sand for each of the incredible images – topped off with an appearance by his children.
The impressive backdrops were commissioned for an OMO washing detergent advertising campaign. A video of how the world champion sand artist, from Singapore, created his unbelievable works was also shot by Karen Vermeulen. Fans have praised the intricate details contained within the images, such as the apple falling on his daughter’s head.
